The Four Canberra Winners in the 2022 REIA National Awards for Excellence

Published on: 10/04/2022

Four ACT real estate members walked away as winners at the REIA’s National Awards for Excellence 2022 this week as Australia’s real estate industry came together to celebrate the year that was. The event, held in Melbourne on Thursday, recognised the contribution of those in residential and commercial agencies and sales and property management, as well as business brokers, buyer’s agents and community service members. Twenty-one awards were handed out on the night, with more than 300 finalists and supporters from across the country in attendance. Bianca Way of ‘Home.byholly’ took out the Achievement Award and Canberra Property Partners won the Innovation Award.

Emily Larsen of Independent Property Group was named Residential Property Manager of the Year, and Kadison News of Burgess Rawson took home Commercial Property Manager of the Year. ‘REIACT’ chief executive Michelle Tynan commended all 17 ACT finalists, adding that “to bring home four category wins for the ACT is incredible”. “Our nominees must first win the REIACT Awards and then go through another gruelling submission process which accesses many aspects of their chosen field within real estate,” she said, adding: “The REIA’s National Awards for Excellence is the only awards judged by industry peers and not based solely on the volume of transactions.

“I would like to congratulate our four winners as well as all of the REIACT finalists. Their dedication and commitment to being the best professionals in the ACT, as well as representing the [the capital] on the national stage, is a true reflection of the pride our members take in continually striving to be the best in the industry at all times.”

REIA president Hayden Groves said women spearheaded the awards night this year, taking out 10 of the 13 individual awards. “It was encouraging to see many more female participants in the 2022 NAFE with 45 women finalists, which was a staggering 60 per cent increase from last year,” he said.
