Campbell Bowers and Andrew Havig Leave JLL to Head Up Burgess Rawson’s QLD Business

Just six months after establishing their own niche in a leading commercial property agency two young guns have left and joined portfolio auction specialists Burgess Rawson where they have also taken a stake in the Queensland business.

Campbell Bowers, 26, and Andrew Havig, 28, have joined Burgess Rawson as joint head of agency Queensland and also partners in the company.

They were both at JLL for more than five years and at the start of this year headed the agency’s Metropolitan Retail Investments division.

It is understood they were approached by Burgess Rawson earlier this year after the Melbourne-headquartered company ended a 25-year association with Pat Kelly who had held the Queensland franchise.

At the time current Queensland director Glenn Conridge and Craig Chapman stayed with Burgess Rawson.

Mr Bowers and Mr Havig honed their investment expertise over the past five years at JLL, working in the capital markets team with a strong focus on retail investments.

The duo achieved great success in recent years, both transacting more than $300m plus across a diverse range of assets, including the sale of $30m CBD retail assets and achieving record yields in Queensland for both retail fuel and automotive asset classes.

Mr Bowers said the time was right to step into a director role.

“The business is in an exciting period, and the opportunity to take on a leadership and mentoring role is really appealing,” he said. “The investment market is particularly strong right now and l am excited about spearheading the next phase of growth for our Queensland business.”

Mr Havig said Burgess Rawson has been hugely successful.

“That is particularly so throughout the pandemic and the portfolio auction process is second to none,” he said. “I am looking forward to joining the team and delivering more great results for our clients.”
