More than $25m of Queensland assets were sold under the hammer at Burgess Rawson’s latest portfolio auction on Thursday. The auction offered 15 properties from around the state and 11 were sold, with the largest deal being a Puma service station at 277 Gympie Rd, Kedron, for $4.31m and a yield of 5.75 per cent. Burgess Rawson joint head of Agency QLD Campbell Bowers said there was a “real mix” of assets for sale in metropolitan and regional areas. Mr Bowers said the 2032 Olympics were attracting interest in Queensland from southern states.“There were a lot of high net worth private investors bidding and a large percentage were from Melbourne,” Mr Bowers said. Other deals were a medical centre at 96 Taylor St, Toowoomba, which sold for $1.21m and realised a yield of 4.8 per cent and a Puma service station at 932 Boundary Rd, Coopers Plains, which sold for $3.205m and produced a yield of 7.8 per cent.
