Ten years in commercial real estate gave Ned Looker a perspective that sets him apart. He began his career in research and valuations, building an analytical foundation before most agents had written their first contract — and it is an approach that has shaped everything since.
Now a Director at CBRE South Australia and a licensed auctioneer, Ned specialises across residential development, medical, retail and office assets. He takes a long view on client relationships, positioning himself as a trusted advisor rather than a transactional agent, with a client base driven by reputation and repeat business.
The results reflect it. Career highlights include brokering a portfolio of six OTR service stations, a first for the South Australian market, and winning a fiercely contested listing at 134-144 Hutt Street, Adelaide, where the vendor had close ties to a competing firm. Ned won it on merit and sold it above the top end of the quoted range on a site set to reshape one of the city’s most loved streets.
Ned holds a Bachelor of Business (Property). He has spent eight of his ten years in the industry at CBRE, a fitting home given his father’s first job was as a sales agent at the firm back in the 1980s.
A born and bred South Australian, away from the office he can be found on the golf course, lost on a bush track with no phone signal, or being walked by his two French Bulldogs. Frenchie owners, he will tell you, are basically a cult.
