Doug subsequently became directly involved in property markets both as a business broker and real estate agent.
Doug commenced his career in the family grocery business circa 1963. He retired from the business in 1987 having acquired extensive knowledge in respect to the operation and management of grocery and liquor stores.
In 1987 Doug commenced as a business broker with Malcolm Dingle and Associates where he remained for six months prior to leaving to start his own broking practice. Doug owned and operated Leader Business Agents in a partnership between 1991 and 1995.
In 1995, Doug joined T J Board and Associates as a business broker handling supermarkets and liquor stores and Doug continued with T J Board until their merger with Burgess Rawson in 2013. During this period Doug also acquired and ran a liquor store in Springvale before selling out to Coles.
Doug is widely regarded as an expert in his field and has built a solid reputation over his 27 year career, having sold in excess of 300 businesses since 1987.
