Eight properties in South Australia, including IKEA’s SA distribution centre in Netley, will go under the hammer at next month’s Burgess Rawson portfolio auction.

In addition to five pharmacy, childcare, petrol station, industrial and office properties on offer across metropolitan Adelaide, four regional properties will also be up for auction.

Headspace offices in Port Lincoln, Cheap as Chips in Kadina and a BOC Gas & Gear industrial site in Whyalla will all be on offer to investors.

A total of 80 properties across the country will be offered by Burgess Rawson through its auction and expressions of interest campaign, ranging in price from $550,000 to $60m, and leased to high-profile brands including KFC, Coles, Woolworths, Dan Murphy’s, Liquorland, IKEA, Viva Energy and Kmart.

Burgess Rawson national head of agency Adam Thomas said the inclusion of 12 childcare centre investments underlined the demand from investors for essential service properties.

“This is the largest line-up of childcare assets we have ever brought to market,” he said.

“The key attributes that investors are looking for in childcare assets are all there, including long leases of up to 20 years, 3-to-4 per cent annual rent increases and highly reputable operators.”

Next month’s auction will be held in Sydney on November 9, Brisbane on November 10 and Melbourne on November 11. Bidding will also be available by phone, online or in person at state offices not affected by Covid-19 restrictions.
