Steve Kish – appointed as President of Australian Property Institute (Western Australian Division)

Burgess Rawson is pleased to announce the appointment of Steve Kish as President of API (Western Australian division) as of 16 March 2015.

Steve was admitted as an Associate of the API (WA) in 1984. He has also participated as a professional interview panellist and as joint Chair of the CPD Committee. Steve became a Divisional Councillor in 2014 before being appointed more recently as President.

The Australian Property Institute represents approximately 8,600 property professionals throughout Australia and overseas. API members include residential, commercial and plant and machinery valuers, property advisers, property analysts and fund managers, property lawyers, and property researchers and academics. The Institute’s primary role is to set and maintain the highest standards of professional practice, education, ethics and professional conduct for it members and the broader property profession.

Steve has been involved in the property industry for more than 35 years and he has a wide range of valuation and commercial agency experience in both the public and private sectors.

Steve commenced his career with the Landgate (Valuer Generals Office) and then the Australian Valuation Office. He then worked at Richard Ellis in the Commercial and Investment sales and Valuation departments and ANZ Property.

As an equity partner and joint licensee of Burgess Rawson, Steve has been a Director of Valuations at Burgess Rawson (WA) Pty Ltd (formerly Stanton Hillier Parker) since 1998. He has extensive knowledge of Western Australian based property and market fundamentals, and has earned a reputation for being one of the best in his field.
